Beginning on May 14th, we will be diving into the ocean to learn more about the plants and animals that call the ocean home. We will also take this opportunity to do some science experiments using salt water, such as floating objects in salt water, freezing salt water and tasting salt water. We will also work on sorting and classifying types of animals and plants found in the ocean. This is always a favorite theme as trips to the beach begin!

For the next two weeks (4/30-5/11) we will be discussing Mother’s Day, moms and their importance in our lives. We will also be discussing other important female figures in our lives such as grandmothers, aunts, and sisters. Ms. Maria has some sweet art projects that the moms are sure to enjoy and we will be working on language and communication skills as we ask the children their thoughts on their own mom. Don’t forget our Muffins for Mom’s on May 14th.
